Today, I have a confession to make - I'm a list making fanatic! I love making lists and checking things off. It makes me feel accomplished because the items on the list are short-term, and therefore attainable. Sometimes, I even write things down that I've already done, just to feel super successful when I check them off (you've done this too, don't lie!)
New Year's resolutions, on the other hand, I fail miserably at. Every time I write up my New Years resolutions (usually this happens sometime in February), they feel daunting and impossible to achieve. Really, am I going to go to the gym 4 times a week? It's never going to happen, so I think it's time to retire that goal, among many others.
So, instead of making resolutions, I'm going to follow a motto for the year. No, it's not "YOLO", but my main goal will be to make this year rock! Plain and simple, and easy to follow.
It's so easy to bog yourself down with things that don't matter. In 2013, I spent a fair share of time on things that just didn't matter. These things/people brought me down and prevented me from being the person I'm truly meant to be. So this year, there won't be any of that. I'm going in to 2014 with determination and hope.
Everything seems more achievable when it's written in glittery gold, right?
Happy New Year Everyone!
Till Next Time,
